Suzuki Samurai

Suzuki is a Japanese manufacturer of cars and motorcycles, among other motorized products. It's best known in the U.S. market for its small cars and SUVs. Despite the occasional strong product, Suzuki struggles to keep a toehold in the U.S.Suzuki's strongest and most competitive product ever in the U.S. market is the Kizashi, a new model that's on the smaller end of the midsize sedan class. Its interior quality, handling and comfort have put some larger automakers to shame. Other models include the competent SX4 compact, which comes as a sedan and a hatchback. A version of the hatchback, called the Crossover, has higher ride height and offers optional all-wheel drive. Suzuki's sole SUV is the Grand Vitara, which is one of the few remaining compact SUVs designed for real off-roading. The tradeoff is lower gas mileage, but its ride is impressively comfortable for a truck. Speaking of trucks, Suzuki sells the Equator, a compact pickup manufactured by Nissan. It's based on the Frontier.Suzuki is based in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. Although it's an independent company, Suzuki frequently manufactures vehicles with and for other automakers, including GM.
